When I paint with oil paints, the first
feeling that comes to me is the visual richness of color
itself. There is something special about oil color to me.
Perhaps it’s the mixing of the heavy pigments with
Specialized oils that hold them together. It’s a form of
alchemy to me.
During the painting process, there is a sensual feeling of
the oils flowing off the brushes, and onto the canvas.
Creating a work excites me and drives me as an artist.

"Freedom series" consists of a number of medium to large scale paintings
on canvas. Each is created in a fresh pallet with a broad range of
colors. Canvases are brushed, dripped and dabbed producing
glimpses of drifting squiggles and other geometric elements revealed
within a lush white background. These are artworks that explore
art as experience and as pure expression.
